About Me
Jerry was born in Houston, Texas but was raised in beautiful Thousand Oaks, California. He has had a lifelong love of sports but none with greater staying power than tennis.
In 1996, Jerry graduated from UCLA and began working closely and traveling with his cousin, Michael Chang. On the pro tour, he gained invaluable experience and insight into the game and the dedication required to succeed. He continued his work for Michael and the Chang Family Foundation until 2001.
Jerry met his wife while playing basketball at church where she quite literally fell for him. They married and settled in Seattle, Washington where they were blessed with two children. In 2010, after working in two different industries, moving back to his hometown of Thousand Oaks, and having their third and last child, Jerry returned to his first love and began coaching tennis full time and never looked back.
Jerry is a lifelong student of tennis. He continually learns, develops, and refines his system for coaching players of all ages. His greatest desire is to instill in his students a strong work ethic as well as his same passion and love for the game.
Jerry was an assistant coach at California Lutheran University for 11 years for the Men's and Women's Teams.
Now Jerry is the Director pf Tennis at Spanish Hills Club in Camarillo, California.
He is a certified USPTA Elite Professional and a Tennis Serve Specialist.
